People - Wong Film Partly Shot Here Opens at Cannes

Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai's "My Blueberry Nights" - partly shot in Memphis in August with actors David Strathairn , Rachel Weisz and Grammy-winning singer Norah Jones - had its first public screening Wednesday as the opening-night film at the 60th Cannes Film Festival in France.

Wong, Jones and co-star Jude Law were among those who walked the famous Cannes red carpet for the screening. "Audience reaction was split on the film," according to Variety, which reported that more than 30,000 visitors are packing the Riviera town for the festival, which concludes May 27.
