After more than two years under construction, Collierville's Northwest Wastewater Treatment Plant began its start-up process this week.

Since Monday, tanker trucks have transferred nearly 95,000 gallons of sewage from the Shelton Road Wastewater Treatment Plant to the new facility where officials began cultivating microorganisms used to digest sewage.
