The individuals who volunteer their time and talents at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis each year are a cherished part of the team. They provide valuable assistance to both staff and patients. Currently, more than 200 active volunteers are at work in the hospital providing more than 56 hours of volunteer service every day.

Volunteers were honored at an annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at the hospital in April. The volunteers attending included Johnson Auxiliary members, foster grandparents, seminary and college students and volunteer chaplains. Sue Dismuke was honored with the Mark Lindstrom Volunteer Award of Distinction for her dedicated service as a volunteer chaplain in the hospital.
