CINCINNATI - After police charged Ole Miss basketball coach Andy Kennedy with misdemeanor assault following a December incident in which he allegedly punched a cab driver and yelled racial slurs, he went on the offensive.

Kennedy sued the driver and a restaurant valet who came forward as a witness for defamation of character and was seeking more than $25,000. Now, he'll have to play defense as well.
