OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss players were scattered across the Indoor Practice Facility when fans arrived for Meet the Rebels Day on Saturday afternoon. Each group was identified by large banners. Tight ends along one wall, wide receivers along another. Defensive line here, punters there. Each player had a pen in hand, poised to sign posters and hats and jerseys at long tables.

Quarterbacks Michael Herrick, Brent Schaeffer and Billy Tapp sat side by side, but one player who has been in the mix for the starting job was absent. Senior Seth Adams was way over yonder, across the artificial playing turf, sitting on a raised, spotlighted dais alongside coach Ed Orgeron and senior running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
