TUPELO - Workers at Toyota's Mississippi plant will be given time to learn and mature before they're expected to move beyond initial production goals, the premier expert on the company says.

In this case, they'll be "children" educated about the company's vaunted Toyota Production System, and they'll be taking their lessons from a 21-year-old "mother," says Jeffrey Liker.
