Tennessee pulled within one by halftime and took the lead with an 11-4 run to open the second half. Former White Station High standout J.P. Prince sparked the surge with six straight points, including a pair of dunks, as the Vols took a 45- 39 lead. Rose did his best to keep the Tigers in touch, scoring 10 of his team-high 23 points during a stretch in which Memphis turned a seven-point deficit into a one-point advantage. But Tyler Smith hit two key buckets down the stretch, including a short jumper over Robert Dozier with 26.5 seconds left, to give Tennessee its biggest win in school history and an expected No. 1 ranking on Monday.See the full content of this document
