TCU co-offensive coordinator Justin Fuente, who hadn't surfaced as a candidate from the time the University of Memphis began its search for a new football coach , will be introduced as the head coach today , sources familiar with the process said Wednesday night.
Fuente, 35, a 1999 Murray State graduate, will be introduced at a noon press conference at the U of M. He'll become the program's 23rd head coach, replacing Larry Porter, who was fired after two seasons at his alma mater. Porter went 3-21 and was dismissed after the team's 44-7 Conference USA loss at Southern Miss on Nov. 26.See the full content of this document
