Sign of Love -- St. Therese Parishioner Dedicates Marker to Church, Wife

Summary

Recently Bill Germann wanted to put his faith into action. His quest was twofold: find a way to honor his wife of 58 years, as well as make a significant contribution to his church, St. Therese- Little Flower Catholic Church. "Little Flower," as it is often called , is at 1644 Jackson, in the Vollintine-Evergreen community.

Germann found the "answer to his prayers" when he realized that his parish was in need of a sign to designate their house of worship. So he donated an etched granite sign, in loving memory of his wife and longtime St. Therese parishioner, Kathe Adelheid Germann. The beautiful sign faces Jackson Avenue as a proclamation that the church is steadfast in its commitment to continuing its inner-city mission, both for its congregation and its neighborhood.
