Taco Bell Settles Sex Case, Pays $350,000 to 2 Raped

Summary

Taco Bell Corp. has agreed to settle a sexual harassment complaint that grew out of the rape of two workers by their boss at the restaurant at 2183 Frayser Blvd., said federal officials. According to the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Taco Bell agreed to pay two employees a total of $350,000.

The commission said Monday that one of them, a 16-year-old, was assaulted on her first day at work in April 2006 and the other, also 16, had been raped earlier. The supervisor, Terence E. Davis, 38, pleaded guilty to rape earlier this year and is serving an eight- year sentence.
