Generosity Is a Strong Trait for Memphians -- Survey: Increase in Giving Nearly 3 Times National Number

Summary


Memphians gave more generously to charity last year than people in other cities, according to a survey of Association of Fundraising Professionals members.

The average increase in giving to groups reported by the 46 members who answered the survey was 12 percent, nearly three times greater than the 4.1 percent national increase noted in the Giving USA report released earlier this week.
