Late Memphis music icon and Stax Record great Isaac Hayes will be honored this week, with his name set to become part of the Memphis landscape.

On Friday, which would have marked Hayes' 68th birthday, the state of Tennessee will recognize the internationally beloved soul man by renaming a stretch of Interstate 40 - running from the Fayette-Shelby County line to the intersection at Sam Cooper Boulevard - "Isaac Hayes Memorial Highway" - and unveil a pair of road signs marking the dedication.
