First Day of School / Seniors On Parade -- Construction at Lausanne Leads to Creative Campus 'Drive-Thru'

Summary

Hina Purohit and Emily Walker, both of Southaven, were among the seniors at Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis celebrating their final year of high school by driving through campus in their cars to the cheers of underclassmen. This year, due to the construction of a new 30,000-square-foot gym, a 30,000-square-foot library and improved athletic field space, a massive construction project that has limited parking on campus, all students must park off-campus.

Inspired by this, the seniors decided to get creative with their drive-thru . Using shopping carts, golf carts, children's bicycles, razor bikes and a carriage from last year's school production of "Cinderella," the seniors paraded around campus to the delight of students in prekindergarten through eleventh grade.
