Six Schools Gain Help for College Test Prep -- Gift Could Raise Act Scores

Thanks to a $100,000 grant from the Homer Skelton Foundation, DeSoto County Schools is establishing a program in six high schools to help students prepare for the SAT and ACT college entrance exams.

"The numbers on what students make when they initially take the exam and later what they make when they complete the course is impressive," said DCS Community Relations Director Katherine Nelson .
