The NCAA Board of Directors approved a set of proposals last week aimed at cleaning up some of the gray area in college basketball recruiting. Specifically, the NCAA took on financial relationships between college programs and people who are connected to prospects through summer and high school teams.

Though college coaches, including University of Memphis coach Josh Pastner , applauded the reforms , they will certainly change the way the Tigers and many programs operate . Conversely, some local AAU coaches said they did not agree with all facets of the new legislation, claiming it could limit opportunities for their players.
