In its storied 60-year history, the Mid-South Junior Fishing Rodeo has had its share of exciting sessions, but the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency's latest event was one for the ages, especially for 11-year old Reed Young of Memphis.
Reed, a rising sixth-grader at White Station Middle, caught 42 catfish to blow away the field of 250-plus young anglers to claim the 2009 Grand Championship at Johnson Road Lake in Germantown. The catch is the most since the TWRA began the rodeo in 2001.See the full content of this document
