Two Memphis police officers were issued traffic citations after two separate early morning crashes Thursday.

About 2:20 a.m., an officer rushing to answer a prowler call lost control of his cruiser and wrapped it around a utility pole, officials said. He was not seriously injured, but was issued a ticket for failure to maintain proper control.
