Summary


I've always believed investment was all about putting oneself and one's family in a better position tomorrow, but when I look at what we are now investing in as a community, state and nation, I wonder if I'm in the minority.

Instead of investing in cleaner, greener technologies, natural preven tive medicine and safer, smarter, more efficient communities, we are racking up huge debt to build unnecessary sports arenas, unneeded roads to serve sprawling suburbs, new highways to carry international truck shipments that won't be economically feasible a decade from now, and fighting expensive wars over the remaining drops of oil .
