A nurse charged with killing her husband in 2009 told a judge Tuesday she was "exhausted, shocked and scared" when she gave police a statement of admission and that detectives repeatedly ignored her requests for an attorney.

Pamela Taylor said she signed a waiver of her Miranda rights before talking to detectives and also signed her four-page statement, but that she didn't read the statement she gave because she was unable to focus.
