Northwest Mississippi Community College has entered into a partnership with the Mississippi RiverKings hockey team through which supporters of the school can raise funds for student scholarships simply by purchasing tickets to RiverKings games throughout the hockey season. Up to $10 in proceeds from the purchase of each ticket will be donated to support scholarships.

"All you have to do to generate scholarship funds is to purchase your tickets in advance by calling the RiverKings ticket manager at (662)342-1755 and specify the code 'NWFND' when ordering your tickets," said Mike Ward, director of programs for the Maddox Foundation and organizer of this new fundraising venue. In addition to the code applying to box office and telephone ticket sales, plans are currently in the works for the code to be applied to online Ticketmaster sales as well.
