In the wake of the possibly heat-related death of a city employee, Mayor A C Wharton called on Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division to review its policy of requiring a form of photo identification to get utility services.

Wharton's request comes after sanitation worker Jerdean Johnson - a 45-year city employee - was discovered dead last week, apparently from heat-related symptoms.
