Focus should be on dip in crime
In your Sept. 27 articles "Vicious Cycles" and "True Crime," you make the point that crime discredits our community. Of course it does, as crime discredits every community in America. But the news that really matters is that our community is doing something about it, and the statistics (accompanying the stories) show significant decrease in crime here in the last two years.See the full content of this document

I doubt that this newspaper's intention is to make people think about moving or not taking jobs or not coming to pursue higher education or attend a convention or vacation in Memphis, but that can well be the result.
