We have witnessed this year one of the greatest floods in recorded history on the Mississippi River. Towns, homes, businesses and thousands of acres of farmland were inundated by water. The impact on people's lives is beyond measure.

All of us at The Nature Conservancy extend our hope for a quick recovery to those affected by the flood. We, too, have deep roots in Tennessee and the Mississippi River basin, with staff members living in states from the river's headwaters down to the Gulf of Mexico.
