WASHINGTON - The National Republican Congressional Committee on Wednesday began airing radio ads in U.S. Rep. John Tanner's district accusing the leader of the Blue Dog coalition of fiscal conservatives of being a "lap dog" for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The full-minute ad says that Tanner voted for the $787 billion stimulus bill and supports the "Pelosi-Obama" budget with its "massive new federal spending (and) trillions in new debt."
