NASHVILLE - The Democratic House sponsor of a proposal to change the Tennessee Constitution to allow the state to impose greater limits on abortions is optimistic it will pass this legislative session.
Rep. Charles Curtiss, D-Sparta, is among several House members - mostly Republican - proposing a resolution similar to one that has made it to the Senate floor. Just about all the proposals contain the language that "nothing in this Constitution secures or protects a right to abortion or requires the funding of an abortion."See the full content of this document
