Hospitals to Ban Smoking by 2008

Summary


STARKVILLE - Hospitals in Starkville and Columbus will be smoke- free by Jan. 1, 2008, officials say.

Officials at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus said no tobacco of any kind will be permitted inside buildings or outside on the grounds. This plan will eliminate designated smoking areas at the hospitals.
