Summary


Hernando will add to its health-minded infrastructure with a "linear park" in the eastern part of the city, to be funded with a $600,000 grant through the Mississippi Department of Transportation and in-kind contributions from the city.

"It's such a wonderful development," Hernando Mayor Chip Johnson said Friday. "It really shows how MDOT realizes the impact of bicycle and pedestrian traffic on communities."
