Greek Festival to Offer New Dishes and Shuttle Rides

Summary


The Memphis Greek Festival's 50th anniversary is very nearly on us and now is the time to make space for the usual fantastic array: souvlaki, spanakopita, baklava, kourambiethes and the famous flaming cheese, saganaki.

But the hugely popular festival is not stuck in its ways. There are newer treats such as moussaka, and the organizers are making it easier to deal with the congestion. This year, shuttles will be available at Poplar Plaza, Crichton College, St. Michael's Catholic Church on Summer and at the northeast corner of Highland and Central. Shuttles will run every 15 minutes starting at 10 a.m.
