Summary


Although I love dahlias and gladioli, I've never grown them, because digging up the tender tubers and corms and storing them for the winter is a little more work than I want to do.

When I want glads to use in arrangements, I buy gorgeous stems from vendors at the Farmers Market in the red barn at the Agricenter. Those who go to the Memphis Farmers Market Downtown will also find vendors with glads.

I've been impressed with great colors, especially a pretty purple with subtle white stripes.

Sometimes you can buy dahlias from the vendors as well, but wouldn't it be great to step out into the garden and clip a few, too?
