Two Shelby County Schools planned for the 2009-10 school year will open on time thanks to the approval of a federal court judge.

To create some wiggle room in grossly overcrowded schools, on Wednesday, U.S. Dist. Court Judge Bernice Donald cleared the way for the county system to build an elementary school in northeast area and a middle school in the southeast area.
