Cotton Pickin' registration records were broken for the Sept. 11 Cotton Pickin' 5k & 1k Cotton Candy Fun Run benefiting Fayette Cares. More than 470 participants registered to run, walk, or stroll in the charity event, which raised $15,000 for the homeless, victims of domestic violence, and families in financial crisis.

One of the highlights of the 2010 event was the enhanced participation of teams from local schools and businesses, including: Fayette-Ware High School, Fayette Academy, Thrasher Clinic, Memphis Contract Packaging, Ring Container, The Bank of Fayette County, Jazzercise and Miss Tennessee Pre-Teen.
