Classic modern horror movies from John Carpenter, Dario Argento and other maestros of the macabre will be screened every Friday and Saturday night through October at the MeDiA Co-op theater at 1000 S. Cooper.

Programmed by Midtown's Black Lodge Video, the city's definitive rental source for cult, classic and foreign films, the Halloween- season screamers range chronologically from the relatively obscure must-see oddity "Spider Baby" (1968) to Sam Raimi's pre-"Spider- Man" literal eyeball-popper, "Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn" (1987).
