A grant program designed to aid DeSoto County teachers got a major boost Tuesday in the form of a late Christmas present.
Life Fellowship Church of Olive Branch donated $20,000 - half of its offering on one of the weekends preceding Christmas - to the DeSoto County Economic Development Council's Classroom Teacher Grant Program, helping jump-start giving for this year's drive to fund teacher grants. The grants will be distributed during an Excellence in Education awards ceremony in September.See the full content of this document
