The White House has appointed David Bronczek, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Express, to the National Infrastructure Advisory Council.

The council was established in 2002 to advise the president, through the secretary of Homeland Security, on the security issues that affect critical pieces of the U.S. infrastructure, including nuclear power plants, electrical power grid and dams.
