Peggy Leigh of Hernando celebrated her birthday recently with a group of family and friends at Kathryn's on Moon Lake near Lula. It was a very special occasion because Peggy grew up in Lula, graduated from Lula-Rich High School and has always loved to eat at Kathryn's.

Kathryn's was originally opened in 1939 as Frank and Kathryn's. Although the restaurant was housed in a small, simple white frame building on Moon Lake, it soon became famous for its steaks, seafood and Italian salad.
