An expanding Shelby County company is threatening to bolt across the state line if the Industrial Development Board doesn't give it an eight-year tax break for a $3.5 million consolidation and relocation project in Shelby County.

Radians Inc., which distributes protective gear for industrial, safety and construction industries, plans to consolidate from three sites totaling 73,435 square feet in and around Bartlett into one, 92,390-square-foot building at 5305 Distriplex Farms Drive in Southeast Memphis.
