JACKSON, Miss. - Andrew Young, an activist who worked alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., says America's civil rights fight must move to an economic front.
Young told about 200 who gathered Thursday for a program honoring King that black college students should pursue degrees in economics rather than law. Decades ago, black legal minds of the likes of Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall helped modify the nation's laws so they could have meaning to people whose ancestors were slaves, Young said.See the full content of this document
