Legendary jazz pianist George Duke - who has worked with artists as diverse as Frank Zappa and Miles Davis, as well as served as a hit producer and solo star - will perform with the Stax Academy's Winter Concert at Rhodes College's McCallum Ballroom on Saturday.

The show dubbed "Funk in The Soul" will also serve as a tribute concert to the late Wayman Tisdale. The basketball player turned jazz bassist worked with Duke on his last record, the newly released The Fonk Record . Tisdale's producer/arranger Derek Allen will also appear as part of the bill.
