If there's a "down" to discrimination for people of color, it logically follows that there is an "up" - and that up is white privilege, says anti-racism educator, lecturer and author Tim Wise.

Even for those who get that racial prejudice still exists, the concept of white privilege is not easy to grasp.

But it's the focus of the national White Privilege Conference, now in its 10th year. For the first time, the annual conference is heading south, to meet in Memphis from Wednesday through Saturday.
