Memphis Fire Department investigators believe a fire that destroyed the Hancock Fabrics store at 5143 Quince in East Memphis started after the gas meter was hit by a waste truck.
The call came in at about 12:34 a.m. Companies arrived minutes later to find fire coming through the roof, said public information officer Lt. Wayne Cooke.See the full content of this document
