Five area banks and their branches - all DeSoto County branches of First Tennessee and Renasant Bank, Sycamore Bank in Hernando and Southaven, Covenant Bank at Goodman Rd. and Southcrest Pkwy., and Senatobia's BancorpSouth location - have competed for several weeks to see who can take the biggest bite out of hunger and poverty in a regional food drive benefiting the Mid-South Food Bank.

The "battle" comes to a head this weekend at the Mississippi RiverKings game on Friday.
