WINSTONVILLE - The attorney general's office says it will seek the removal of Winstonville Mayor Milton Tutwiler if he does not resign before his sentencing on federal fraud charges.
"According to a 1995 Supreme Court case, the conviction is not final until sentencing," Atty. Gen. Jim Hood said in a statement Tuesday. "If he does not resign before he is sentenced, we will file a petition to remove him immediately thereafter."See the full content of this document
