Runners are probably the least complicated of all athletes. They need a good pair of shoes, some lightweight clothing, water and they're good to go. Weather doesn't stop a runner, unless there's lightning. They look at the heat as a seasonal adjustment, time to add more electrolytes, run earlier or later in the day and with less intensity. But real runners never look at heat as a reason to stop or go into an air-conditioned building and (gasp!) use a treadmill.
