Transformers Have History of Mutations -- From Tv Cartoons, to Comics, to Fabled Toys and Now a Movie

If the movie makes it seem like the Transformers are ubiquitous, it's because they are. Transformer history begins in 1984, when Hasbro and Japanese toy company Takara teamed to create and release the first line of these toy robots - robots that could transform into ordinary vehicles with a few deft twists and tucks. There were good guys and bad guys, of course, with the former being Autobots and the latter Decepticons (they had different names in Japan).

Pairing of Aces -- Pro Golfer Shaun Micheel, Kiss Guitarist Tommy Thayer Reteam to Benefit Make-a-Wish

KISS lead guitarist Tommy Thayer and PGA tour pro/avid KISS fan Shaun Micheel performed for the second year in a row at the pairings party for the 2007 Shaun Micheel Make-A-Wish Golf Classic. With them on stage at the Rendezvous were fellow guitarists Gerry Finney and Doug Petty . The party was the night before last Monday's tournament at Ridgeway Country Club.

People - 'Hustle' Co-Star Joining Cast of 'Boston Legal'

"Hustle & Flow" co-star Taraji P. Henson is joining the cast of David E. Kelley's legal dramedy "Boston Legal" as a regular. Additionally, former regulars Mark Valley and Rene Auberjonois will return for multiple episodes on the ABC series' upcoming fourth season.

Believe it or not, I was looking forward to "Transformers," which opens in theaters today (after some preview screenings Monday night).
